Stress is a part and parcel of life today! But, the best or the worst part is that we have inculcated stress in our daily routines, making it even more difficult to avoid it. How? Take for example our dependence on technology, which makes it impossible for us to spend some quiet time with ourselves or our friends! Similarly, let us see what are the simple things in life which cause stress.


Being too dependent on Technology


Yes, this has to be on top. It has become mandatory now to be connected all the time. The constant urge to check mails or messages, the Facebook updates, Whatsapp pings, everything takes a toll on our brains. Do you also sleep with your mobile near your head? Extremely bad idea! Why?

The notification light emitted from your mobile phone or the pinging sounds of the notifications, all wreak havoc with your sleep cycle. You MUST disconnect from technology a good hour before you go to sleep to align your mind with the sleep signals sent by the brain and to help it calm down.

When you sleep after staring at your mobile screens or laptops or iPads, the light emitted from them suppresses the sleep hormone melatonin and your body does not enter the restful mode required for the deep sleep. Due to the lack of restful deep sleep, your body does not really feel refreshed.


Unplanned Days or Accumulated TO-DO Lists


Not knowing what you must prioritize or not knowing what tasks you have to accomplish in the day, whether at home or office, makes your mind chaotic. This is because lots of things keep rushing in your mind and leave you confused, thereby reducing your ability to concentrate on tasks.

So, it is better to always plan and write down your lists and check off things from it than hoping to remember everything. A monthly planning journal in which you can record everything from your everyday TO-DO lists to financial or event planning comes in handy!


A Cluttered House


House is the reflection of its owner. But, not every time! Because, how your house is arranged has a lot to do with all its inmates. It cannot be every time the woman who does all the chores and other people including the husband and children keep on ruining it. So, make it a point to teach your kids and other family members to follow a simple principle - keep a thing back to where you have picked it from. That itself keeps the house from looking messy.

A cluttered house, cluttered desk, any cluttered corner is a distracting and energy sapping circumstance. Your productivity decreases, it is difficult to focus and can create a negative aura in the house. So, avoid mess at any point of time!


Encouraging a Negative Environment


Not happy with work? Not liking your boss? Quit! Is it really that simple? You have to think about your loans and your family and support system.
Not having a happily ever after marriage? You can obviously not get out of it.
Not liking your in-laws? Do not eat up your husband because of it.

Every situation in life is not exactly up to our liking. So, we have to learn to deal with it. But, getting negative or whining and complaining about it all the time is hardly a solution for it. It is sapping your energy and your family's as well. As a male, learn to respect your relations and give them their due without getting confused as to what to do in which situation. And, as a female, it is you who decides how happy or miserable your family can be. It is your responsibility to be happy and keep your family happy.

Create a lifestyle for yourself where you and your family get ample of quality time with each other.
